AidanC Speaks!
AidanC suddenly said "no~~" while mommy was changing his diaper and RyanC & I were using the computers. RyanC was playing with web-based games on noggin and I was researching safes. RyanC loves to sit in front of the PC, stares intensely at the screen and clicks away on the mouse. He is just like a mini-me!
AidanC's unexpected sound then turned into an exciting session of everyone (including RyanC) trying to say "no!" to get him to repeat. AidanC did not disappoint. We were all pretty happy to hear him speak so early. RyanC didn't really do that until much later -- though he did manage to walk at similar stage.
At a little more than 10 months, AidanC has been pulling himself up in the past few days. He is not a picky eater yet so it's been pretty easy to take care of him. In fact, he is almost as big as RyanC! RyanC, on the other hand, has not been eating consistently. The only thing that he eats a lot of is candy & fried chicken. He got the chicken part from me...
Later in the day, wife and I were watching "Little Miss Sunshine". Well, wife fell asleep as she usually does with movies so technically speaking I was the only one watching. I had just checked on RyanC earlier and he was drawing in the living room (adjoining room from the family room). A few minutes later, I heard these exciting yet muffled sound coming from RyanC. It sounded like he was playing with grandpa in the front of the house or the basement so I didn't think too much about it. As time went on, I realized that he was yelling for me in a somewhat panic tone. I went to look for him and found him outside of the house, with the front-door closed. He had gotten outside and could not get back into the house because the door was closed (he could not reach the door knob from outside since the floor outside is at lower level). Grandpa was nowhere to be seen!
It was one of those moments where I felt really bad for not paying more attention to where he was. RyanC could have gotten lost and we would have had no clue! Later I found out that the father in-law had gone out and drove to the store. RyanC must have attempted to follow him (he can open door if it is unlocked already) and then end up locking himself out. It was nerve-wrecking thinking about how it could have gotten worse. We are lucky that everything turned out fine today.

Does RyanC have to call Wife for permission every time he wants to eat fried chicken, or is that just you?
Make sure your safe is big enough to hold a bunch of guns. And store your tax returns in there, because then the purchase price becomes tax deductible.
RyanC and AidanC can eat anything they want since they are too thin. *hrm* unlike their 'dada.' :D
What? No fishing tales?
